It seems like forever since I was properly on LJ. I'm studying like mad for exams, which start next week and being honest, I'm freaking out. Two oral exams and then 19 others. School at its best, right?

I've been lurking on the Merlin communities for quite a while, it's steadily growing to be my new OTP. However, I find it challenging to read the RPS about Colin Morgan and Bradley James. For what reason? It's just too irritating when the majority of writers can't get their nationalities right. When I say 'their', I'm really talking about Colin.

Though, in reality, I have a point.

It's rare to get actors from NI who get to be the main characters in English based TV shows, so naturally, it annoys me that most writes will say he's English or Irish. Call me pedantic about that, but he's NORTHERN Irish. There is a big difference for quite a lot of people in this small country and in theory, he himself could be annoyed to be called Irish. He's from Derry and that would mean he's Protestant, in Northern Irish terms, that means he would see himself as British over Irish.

I'm ranting, so I'll stop.

Anybody have any good Merlin recommendations?

In true style, I've jetted off to France for like, the last week of freedom, so I'm not going to be online much, if at all. I just thought I'd let you all know, especially those who might be counting on my grammar skills with their updates.

Well, ilovethelie just kinda happened. When I was trying to come up with a username I was listening to Motion City Soundtrack, namely Let's Get Fucked Up And Die. I love the song and there's a line in it that I especially like which goes something like, "I have learned to love the lie." And well, I found myself typing 'ilovethelie' into the box for a username. I didn't even try 'ihavelearnedtolovethelie' because I thought it wouldn't fit and I'm past the stage where everything has to be lyrics.

My real name was just my parents choosing names they liked. My sister was named after an old aunt, I got random names. Hannah Victoria. At one point, I hated Hannah and wanted to go by Victoria. I didn't, in the end. So I'm still Hannah. =P


I'm turning 16 in 8 days. I was really excited all year, like, "Oh my GOD! SIXTEEN!" and now, well, I'm not even bothered. I'm not sure if that's good or bad or what. It seems that anything I'm excited for just doesn't happen or I lose the feeling in the last run-up to it.

God, I'm such a big emo.
I'm gonna look through the stories I've been given and try and cheer myself up, because, well, FBR SLASH. Beats all the others by miles!

So... 2 things to say really.

#1: I'm entertaining the idea of doing prompting, in some shape or form. I don't have a specific OTP, but currently, anything MCR related just irks me. I can listen to their music and stuff, but the Frerard/Frikey I'm writing, that's on hiatus. Don't get me wrong, I still read several fics, both here and on Mibba, but... idk, My Chem aren't my favourite band anymore.

What am I reading in the way of slash currently? A helluva lot of Rydon, Joncer and Gabilliam, some Rywalk and Jondon, occasional Rockett. So I'd be up for writing that sort of thing. Not so fond of Brencer, or whatever it's called when Spencer and Brendon get it on. I have nothing against it, I'm just fonder of other pairings. I'll write it though, I like to challenge myself.

In the way of prompting, I'd want a few words: things you want included, scene setters, moods or how you want the characters to act.

I'm gonna say it straight out so no-one gets disappointed...
I do not write: mpreg, paedophilia, or rape fics.
I have not yet written a genderswap, so I'd be apprehensive with that.

Anything else, I'm sure I'll do without a problem.

Hah, I just realised how many names there are... It sorta made me laugh too.
